Cloud brought me back

May 3, 2013

After most of the week spent vacationing in NYC thanks to (Play)Joyce’s award trip, and mailed in posts on Google Glass, 9/11, and walking on the moon, this morning I went fishing for some cloud. While I was out, our April report on cloud deployments came out, and we’re way ahead of our plan for the year. This article by ZDNet’s Charles McLellan on The Evolution of Enterprise Software helps explain why. It’s a comprehensive article, but one thing that really jumped out at me was from a survey by The Everest Group on Enterprise cloud adoption. It seems their 302 respondents exhibited a strong preference for private cloud in human capital management deployments, like, say Kronos, and our cloud services for Workforce Central.

Everest Group Enterprise Cloud Preferences

I recommend perusing Mr. McLellan’s article and the Everest Group report. Oh, and of course I strongly recommend Kronos cloud services. Hey, it’s why I came back to work.
