“sort of…”

January 27, 2016

pac-manHave you noticed this term has sort of crept into our everyday business lexicon? It’s sort of a qualifier, like saying “the cloud sort of drove our revenue this quarter.” Using it adds sort of a “inexactness or vagueness” to a statement. It’s usually harmless filler, sort of like “you know.” Except of course as a qualifier after statements like “You’re going to live” or “I love you.” Then it sort of means everything*

Anyway, it’s just sort of an observation I’ve made lately. Just sort of listen in presentations and meetings and I guarantee, you’ll sort of hear it.

In other news, Kronos sort of had another great quarter with our cloud revenue increasing 74%!
