Gourmet HR content to satiate my Infobesity

February 12, 2015

infobesityI’m morbidly infobese, and I’m not sure my new Fitbit Charge HR is going to help. It’s just going to produce another glut of information, but maybe it will help with that other obesity thing. We’ll see. Anyway, I don’t see my relentless gorging on information as harmful to me. It’s not like I have analysis paralysis. I just love to research and learn, and there are so many information “dealers” out there, it’s incredibly easy to get a fix day or night. Free delivery is my favorite. Every morning my inbox is full of the stuff I crave from Vox, Medium, NextDraft, and several daily digests from LinkedIn groups I follow. Then of course there’s all the curated content I scan on Twitter and Facebook… Luckily I have a very large head to hold it all.

HRPayrollAnswerforceSo yesterday I’m minding my own business, and this daily digest shows up from our own HR and Payroll Answerforce™, a feature of our customer portal at customer.kronos.com. I was stunned to read that half of millennials intend to pursue new jobs in 2015. It seems there’s a disconnect between what millennials want from work (work/home balance, employee recognition, loyalty and respect), and what many organizations want from employees (teamwork, profit and customer satisfaction). Kronos is a very multigenerational place, and I recommend that job-seeking millennials check us out. In fact, included in our over 200 open positions are upcoming internships in case you millennial youth want to take us for a spin. Here are some of those opportunities, and there are more to come!

By the way, our HR and Payroll Answerforce™ content is from Wolters Kluwer, and provides “one source for research on HR and payroll related issues — Recruitment and Retention, JCAHO, Workplace Safety, HIPAA, and more. It also provides relevant state and federal laws and regulations for times when more in-depth information is needed.” All you have to do is log in to the customer portal, and then click on HR and Payroll Answerforce™. Once there, just sign up for email alerts, and all the answers will come to you!
