Customer Experience… IS PEOPLE!!!

soygreenI’m not sure why I flashed back to a classic Chuck Heston movie line for this post, but I find it better to just go with my odd cranial connections and not ask too many questions… [Actually, now that I searched for a Soylent Green image, I see it was an MGM production… That’s serendipity in action.]

One of the big differences between (Play)Joyce and yours truly is the people thing. She loves to be around people, and she’s wonderful at maintaining (that means doing the work) relationships with her wide network of friends and family, and because of her, I’m getting better at it. It’s not like I don’t understand the richness personal experiences add to life. Toward the end of my dad’s run, I was constantly pleading with him to get out with people. “Dad,” I would say, ‘When we tell the greatest stories of our lives, we don’t usually start with “yeah, this one time I was alone…”’ The experiential milestones in life typically involve people.
