Teacher Appreciation Day

May 6, 2014

“A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops.”
–Henry Brooks Adams

Today is National Teacher Day, and it’s also Teacher Appreciation Week. This article on Edutopia.org lists 3 ways to thank a teacher:

  1. Give the Gift of Food
  2. Write a Note
  3. Just Say It

North-Andover-High-School-award-5.5.14I’m writing a simple note to say thank you to Jheff Hammond, my daughter Megan’s teacher at Notre Dame Prep in Fitchburg, MA. Mr. Hammond pushed her to learn the academics, and in the process she learned the value of hard work, compassion, and what’s really important in this life. Thanks, Jheff. Your influence continues…

Kronos also thanked a teacher yesterday. Mike Motherway, North Andover High School’s technology and engineering teacher won our Thanks to a Teacher contest! (Work)Joyce (far right) presented the award, and will also be on Boston’s local Fox affiliate this morning at 9:15 to talk about National Teacher Day!
