Are You Ready for New Technology Bells and Whistles?

December 2, 2013

Over the long holiday weekend, my son “Liked” a Facebook graphic stating,

“Thanksgiving doesn’t have to end.
Let’s be thankful all year long…”

Today I’m thankful for this guest blog by Terri Edkins, a Senior Services Marketing Manager at Kronos. Terri, like (Play)Joyce is somewhat of an “Analog Girl.” Yeah, technology doesn’t get her fired up like, say, curling up with a good book. I’m also thankful for all the great archived posts at Kathy Sierra’s Creating Passionate Users blog. That’s where today’s clever graphic comes from… Terri, you’re up.

Featureitis by Kathy SierraA quick glance at my smart phone shows a voice mail. For the umpteenth time I struggle to remember how to access it. I’m a fairly recent convert to the device and I admit I still haven’t grasped how to use some of the routine features, never mind those that would increase my productivity. My husband, an early adopter of every technology, swears he is NOT going to be my personal IT support person any longer. Well, darn. I suspect a training class in my local retail store is in my future. And you know what, that’s a good thing. Too often we don’t take the time to learn everything we can about something that is new to us and it shows.

Kronos understands this. That’s why we have user adoption services to help everyone in your organization understand the changes coming as a result of a new technology. We’ll help you prepare and train users because when they know how to use new features and processes, they’re more productive and happier with the new system. It’s a win-win.
