The Blogger Games

April 11, 2012

I’ve not seen “The Hunger Games,” but my daughter is a huge fan of the books and she loved the film she saw recently with her younger brother and niece. I haven’t seen it, and I’m not sure I will, but I’ve heard it’s about kids that are put into an arena to fight to the death…

Speaking of games, I love competition and love to win, but sometimes winning just isn’t the point. Sometimes, friendship, inclusion and simple acceptance trumps winning. That’s the goal of the Special Olympics. My son Kyle has participated the past few years, and winning wasn’t a motivator for him:

Today starts “The Blogger Games” here at Kronos. It’s a “friendly competition” (see “Hunger Games” above) to see which blogger can get the most page views between today and Memorial Day and live to tell about it. The winner will be rewarded with a $200 donation to the charity of their choice…

I’m in the heavyweight division up against my boss. Two will enter. One will leave.

So help a brother out by signing up (see right sidebar) for an email subscription or RSS feed of all my latest posts.

I’ll be writing like it’s life or death.

Happy Blogger Games!
