The Show

August 6, 2012

To borrow from Joni Mitchell, “I’ve looked at clouds from both sides now…” Actually, since starting this blog 22 months ago, I’ve looked at clouds metaphorically from about 427 sides now, including:

Frankly, I’m sick of the cloud, but based on the Gartner Hype Cycle for Cloud Computing, 2012, it appears I’ll have to continue to come up with more bad metaphors for our Workforce Central cloud services. Speaking of which, those cloud services finally made it “the show.” That is, front and center on Kronos.com. Yeah, it felt good to finally make “the show.”

“Yeah, I was in the show. I was in the show for 21 days once – the 21 greatest days of my life. You know, you never handle your luggage in the show, somebody else carries your bags. It was great. You hit white balls for batting practice, the ballparks are like cathedrals, the hotels all have room service, and the women all have long legs and brains.”
